Planning a wedding is just so hard. What theme do you go for, what colours, what vibe, what type of venue, what style of dress...
There is just so much info and inspiration out there on Instagram, Wedding Blogs, Pinterest - it's enough to make you go slighlty mad. I would have definitely become a Bridezilla ( luckily for me I was married before the internet which is a terrifying thought).
My advice, to help you weather the storm of information is to go to a good wedding show. Meet the creators behind the products, the designers behind the dresses, the photographers behind the camera etc. Pick up the invitations on show, feel the silk of the bridesmaids' dresses, taste the cakes..
We went to the Most Curious Wedding Show in Shoreditch at the weekend just to see the latest trends in the wedding market ( we're going to launch a new range of wedding guest books for this year and wanted inspiration) and were blown away. Sooooo much to see!! So many fabulous creators. The dresses velvet johnstone were making were extraordinary, the cakes the ARD Bakery created were phenomenal, Alice Gabb's quilted banners were wonderfully mad.
It was such a good day. We now know the new fonts we want to use on our wedding guest books, the colours we want to paint our recycled leather for our wedding albums, how we're going to design wedding planners. It was a brilliant day all round.
