All those questions, decisions, tricky conversations, disappointments...with the fundamental question 'do we go ahead with a small scale wedding or postpone' being the big topic up for continual discussion.

Lockdown time again...

I can't believe it, but here in England we're on lockdown again. Another month of home and no going out. This time I'm planning on doing all those things I didn't do first time ( get fit, paint the landing, make baklava...) and one of the things on my list is to put all those photos that are saved on various devices into a photo album.

Is it now time for maximalism?

I've just seen a really interesting instagram post by @thebijoubride wedding planners, stating that this year they've found their wedding clients going really bold. Having had such a tricky year with wedding plans continually being dashed and put on hold, they're finding couples being much braver and going for what they really want. Going for their dream wedding rather than some watered down version that the venue put forward.

This really is a massive pain. Organising a wedding is stressful enough as it is but to have this dreadful uncertainty hanging over us all the time is just one step too far. We have had so many couples get in touch to say that their wedding has been cancelled, postponed a few months, put on hold indefinitely... it really is a huge strain. When we're asked our advice on how to personalise guest books in the current climate then our advice is harsh but simple: don't put the date on. Leave the date off and then your guest book...
